Gallery Director

Art at the Geode Fine Art Gallery in Portland, Oregon, is seeking a experienced Gallery Director to lead our sales efforts as we come out of being closed from the Covid 19 pandemic.

Responsibilities will include developing a marketing and sales plan, expanding our social media presence, managing our mailing lists, and developing written proposals for various Fine Art ventures. This position will work closely with the company's business manager and owner.

A minimum of 5 years experience in selling art and in these other mentioned areas is required, including samples demonstrating your writing skills in the area of art marketing.

Compensation plus a commission of retail sales, depending on level of past experience and success record. Personal and professional recommendations are required.

Social Media/Marketing

We are looking for someone to run our Social Media, Website’s and any other relevant social media and sales/marketing efforts.

“A social media manager is responsible for growing audiences on social platforms including Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram. Along with maintaining a posting schedule, he or she will also regularly create platform-specific content including text posts, videos, and graphics. They must have a good eye for trends and an understanding of social media metrics.

 

”We are looking for a Social Media Manager who can enhance our brand and build strong online communities through various social media platforms. The Social Media Manager will be responsible for developing and administering social media content that is designed to engage viewers and create an interactive relationship between consumers and the art.

 

The successful candidate will also be required to collect and review social media data to develop more effective campaigns that help to drive sales.
